Full Legal Stay in a Strategic EU Location with Coastline Access

What Is Croatia Temporary Residence Permit (Privremeni Boravak)

Croatia grants temporary residence to non-EU nationals who plan to stay for more than 90 days. This permit gives full legal status to live, work, invest, or study within Croatia and access to the Schengen Zone.

Once issued, your residence is valid from one to three years, depending on your case type.

Who Needs It

A residence permit is required if you:

  • Hold a work contract with a Croatian employer
  • Intend to open or run a business registered in Croatia
  • Intend to open or run a business registered in Croatia
  • Want to reunite with a spouse or parent legally residing in Croatia
  • Enroll in higher education or private academic programs

Note: Croatia monitors entries and overstays carefully. Permits are not optional if your stay crosses the legal threshold.
